Comparative evaluation of breeding and genetic parameters of first farrowing sows of different genotypes
Abstract
A high variability in reproductive traits in purebred and crossbred sows when crossed with Duroc and Landrace boars was determined (9,39-18,9 %). In addition a high positive correlation in three breed combination was revealed between indicators of litter weight at weaning - number of piglets at weaning (BM×Y)×D (r=0,88) (P ≤ 0,01).
