DAIRY PERFORMANCE OF FIRST-CALF COWS DEPENDING ON TECHNOLOGICAL PECULIARITIES OF PREPARING HEIFERS TO CALVING AND LACTATION

Abstract

The paper presents results of research on issue of increasing dairy performance of first-calf black and white breed of cows, depending on peculiarities of the technological process of preparing heifers for calving and lactation. Increase in dairy performance of first-calf cows by 8.6% was determined during preparation of heifers for calving from 7 months of pregnancy, and then also milking in groups with coevals. Such animals show shorter service period , shorter calving interval and lower fertility index, lower infertiliy index.
